Overview
As an in-house Graphic Designer and Content Developer for VELA Scarves, I design visual assets that translate the brand’s storytelling into compelling, scroll-stopping Instagram content. From lab dip graphics to travel diaries and product showcases, the visuals reflect VELA’s values of intentional design, cultural authenticity, and modern modest fashion. Each graphic is designed to elevate product drops and strengthen emotional connections with VELA’s global community.
Problem
VELA’s brand is built on rich storytelling, custom design, and deep cultural roots, but translating these nuances into digital content that resonates on fast-paced platforms like Instagram poses a unique challenge. The goal is to create graphics that communicate inspiration, quality, and intention in seconds, while still feeling personal, thoughtful, and aligned with the brand’s voice.
Solution
I developed a visual system that feels tactile, intimate, and editorial. To do this, I used handwritten notes, fabric swatches, organic photo layouts, and curated palettes. Each post invites followers into VELA’s design process, capturing the soul of the product and the story behind it. By balancing emotional storytelling with clean aesthetics and consistent formatting, the content deepens brand engagement and celebrates VELA’s commitment to craft, comfort, and community.
